Let Me Go wins Best Ensemble award at Bentonville Film Festival!
We have just returned from Bentonville Film Festival, Arkansas, USA and are extremely happy to let you all know that Let Me Go has won Best Ensemble award.
Two years ago, before we even had funding, we cited Bentonville as being the festival for which we most wanted to be selected. Founded by Academy Award winning actress Geena Davis, founder and chair of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media and Trevor Drinkwater, President & CEO ARC Entertainment – Bentonville Film Festival is a commercially focused, research-based platform with a mission to champion women and diverse voices in media.
Our premiere took place on Thursday May 4th to a full house. Thank you to Summre Garber and all her team for their impeccable organization and support, we couldn’t have felt more nurtured and encouraged.
Some of the feedback we received at the festival:
Bentonville Patron David Lightfoot said, “Bentonville continues to establish itself as a world class arts destination by hosting the World Premiere of Let Me Go which is a unique and thought-provoking journey of how a matriarch can have such evil in her soul that its poison can reach multiple generations.”
Marius de Vries, Musical Director of La La Land said, “Philip Selway’s score is delicate and unsettling and perfectly counterpoints the unraveling layers of secrets and evasions that have poisoned these four generations of women…”
We have more festival news to come at the end of the month and also news on our UK launch later in the summer. Suffice it to say that you will be able to see Let Me Go this year!
